FAQ’s

Q.Who runs this juke joint?

A. My name is Nicole.  I have been involved with zines
since approximately 1996 at the tender age of 15.  I
started as an avid zine reader and then created the zine,
Introvert, shortly thereafter.  My involvement in the
punk scene was what sparked my interest in zines and
independent publishing.  I live in Richmond, VA with
my husband and our fabulous dog, Oliver.

Q. What’s a zine?

A. A zine (pronounced zeen) is, at the most basic
level, and independently published magazine.  Zines span
an extremely wide range of topics and formats.  Most of
the zines you will find in stock at Click Clack are that
of the perzine variety.  This means personal zine.  In
a perzine the author writes from their own personal experiences.
We also like to carry how-to, DIY health, and like
topics.  Our favorite zines are the ones in which the creator
used the old school cut & paste method.  This means
that they’ve painstakingly laid out the pages of their
zine using paper, scissors, and glue sticks!

Q.  Why zines?

A.  Because you don’t have to answer to anyone except
yourself.  You are in creative control of what you publish
and how you design it.  It is one of the easiest ways to
exercise your right to free speech!

Q. Glue Sticks or Rubber Cement?

A. Here at Click Clack, we prefer Glue Sticks.

Q. Do you sell wholesale to distros/stores?

A. I am only at liberty to sell my own zine, Introvert,
at wholesale prices to distros and stores.  Please
get in touch if you are interested!

Q. Will you carry my zine at Click Clack Distro?

A. Please, by all means submit your zine for consideration,
details are at the submissions page.

Q. What do you do with the loads of cash you make
from running a zine distro?

A.  Loads of cash?  Where?  Any money that is made in
this labor of love is put directly back into the distro.
This money is spent on ordering new stock, advertising,
attending zine fests, purchasing mailing supplies, and
maintaining the website.

Q. Where can I ask you more questions not covered
here?

A. clickclackdistro@gmail.com
